The Power of Football

Ronan is a young boy with huge dreams of becoming a professional football referee. He’s so focussed on realising his dream that he even chooses to referee the matches in his school playground.

In this video, which we've called, The Power of Football, Nick Walsh, a Scottish football and FIFA referee visits Ronan’s school and ends up giving him the chance to lead out the refereeing team at the Scottish Cup Semi Final at Hampden Park in front of some 50,000 fans.

Thanks to the Scottish Football Association (Scottish FA) and Specsavers, this heartwarming video telling the story of one young boy’s aspirations can be used to inspire many more.
